Shanna Marie McLaughlin will be Playboy’s July 2010 Playmate of the Month after winning a competition with photographer Kate Romero on “Playboy Shootout” a Playboy TV reality show. University of Central Florida coach George O’Leary said he did allow Axis magazine to do a photo shoot with UCP cheerleader, Marie McLaughlin, in the campus locker room. O’Leary said to The Orlando Sentinel: “I approved the magazine,” O’Leary told a Sentinel reporter after practice ended Saturday. “The guy called my office and basically wanted to know if they could do a magazine shoot. There was a UCF girl who had her MBA and all that. And the only thing I asked is, ‘Is that a magazine that is distributed on campus?’ And they said, ‘Yes.’ They’ve done I think four, since I’ve been here at least four, initial copies of football [previews] opening up the football season.” The photo shoot featured Shanna Marie McLaughlin posing with a football between her legs and wearing a UCF-logo underwear. You can see the photos here. Since the news UCF has apologized for offending anyone with the photos and that they will be “reminding employees about the university’s standards.”
